At long last, Skype has made it to the iPhone. And based on my early tests of the popular voice-over-IP app, I'm happy to say it was worth the wait. Skype for iPhone certainly isn't perfect, but it looks good, is easy to use, and offers excellent voice quality--particularly when making Skype-to-Skype calls.

Elegant and lovely to look at, this journal app is off to a good start. But Diary needs more flexibility if it hopes to persuade diarists to abandon their pens and journals in favor of the iPhone.

Apple appears to be gearing up for a low-end and high-end refresh of its iPhone this summer, with the low-end retaining the iPhone's 3G capabilities and the high-end offering 32GB of NAND flash memory, according to a Lazard Capital Markets analyst.

Marketcircle has announced the release of Daylite Touch for the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s available for free download from the App Store, though it only includes sample data — using it as part of a workflow requires you to purchase a $49.99 license per device, per year.

Skype will allow users to place calls to landlines for free or cheaply -- sadly there's no calling to wireless sets for iPhone users...

EBay will start providing its Skype Internet-calling service on Apple’s iPhone, extending its push in wireless devices and putting it in more direct competition with AT&T and Verizon Wireless.
